Fresh flavors, local ingredients, healthy options.
By enjoying food and refreshments at the Zoo, you’re supporting our conservation efforts by making choices that help contribute to a better future. From sourcing food farmed and harvested in ways that minimize the impact on the planet to using environmentally friendly cups and containers, we’re working to ensure our practices at the Zoo are as sustainable as possible. We’re also proud to feature some of the best Indiana has to offer through our collaborations with local partners like Red Gold, Blue Bunny, and Fischer Farms.
Here at the Zoo, we’re committed to doing our part to help visitors be stewards of the environment. Beverage items throughout the Zoo are available in recyclable aluminum bottles and aluminum cans, reducing single-use plastic. So far, we’ve eliminated over 280,000 plastic bottles from the landfill.
Aluminum is a highly durable material that is infinitely recyclable! In fact, nearly 75 percent of all aluminum ever produced is still in use today. Help keep the cycle going — look for recycling bins throughout the Zoo.
In our efforts to reduce single-use plastic, We no longer supply single use plastic straws or lids with our drinks at concessions.
